Description Of Issue

Dear Dir or Madam,
I have installed today the Roon software (14day free trial) on my MacBook. I have an external CD drive attached to the MacBook which I intend to use to import my CD library. This task is working flawlessly using iTunes. I can’t however figure out how to use the Roon software to import / Rip CDs. Could you please let me know how to do that?

Best regards,
Gero

You’ll have to use non-Roon software. I like dbPoweramp.

Hello @Gero_Stuebbe,

Welcome to the forum!

For CD-ripping, this function is only supported on devices running RoonOS (such as Nucleus or ROCK (Roon Optimized Core Kit)). Since you are using MacOS, you will need to use a 3rd party app to rip your files, dbPoweramp is a popular solution among our customers, but I’m sure there are others as well.

I hope this helps!
