Improvements to UI for classical music

I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that the only way to get accurate metadata is manually

There is little or no consistency between the various metadata sources eg AllMusic MusicBrainz etc

My thread on Chopin is a case in point

I have lots of duplicate recordings of Chopin works I assume there is some confusion as to whether an opus is a collection of parts or a single work Take the nocturnes Op.27 , there are 3 works, OP.27/1 etc, in some cases Roon sees these as a group i.e. Op.27 with 3 subordinate parts in other cases it sees the 3 works as separate works with no parts e.g. Nocturne for piano No.7 in C sharp minor, Op.27/1, CT. 114 If we compare other multi work opus e.g. Beethoven Op.2 , rightly (?) Roon sees …

Manually grooming a 3000 Album CD collection is neither fun nor practical hence enters Roon. The trouble is you can spend hours fighting Roon to try and get what you want and still fail

I won’t even go down the BigBox road, I fixed that by running JRiver in parallel where I can manipulate stuff

I am trying desperately to have quality music time not Keyboard time !!!

A classical upgrade is long overdue …
