Is your device connected directly to the Roon Server via cable or over the network, or is it chained through another device (such as a streamer, Roon Bridge, or Roon Remote)?

Describe the issue
After the latest updates to both Hifi Rose RS150B and Roon, I can no longer play dsd files. The Hifi Rose device setup in Roon does not contain any reference to dsd (dsf).

Thank you for your post. Please turn on RoonServer so automated diagnostics can reach our servers. We’ll investigate the device announcements reaching RoonServer from this endpoint to identify what’s happening.
I suggest you inquire with HiFi Rose support about “native” DSD support for Amanero in their streamer (maybe he already does and it is just a “wrong” setting on the streamer that prevents it from showing). Depending on their answer, you may also have to request the Linux compatible software for your DAC (see above) to make it work (if possible at all with your current setup).
Roon itself has no issue with sending out DSD512 streams to Roon Ready streamers that correctly announce their support for that format.
I’ve just tried it, and RS-250 can play DSD512 from Roon (which is actually new, before the 512 option would not even show in the device settings). It shows for RS-520 as well, but I haven;t tried playing to it yet. Really should work for 150 just as well…
I’ve merged reports of this symptom affecting the RS150B and DSD playback with Roon. We’ll coordinate with our Partners team and Hifi Rose to determine the cause of the issue. Please stand by and if you haven’t already, please reach out to their support team as well to inform them of the issue.
Hi, Connor, I solved the PCM / DSD playback issue.
I ran the HiFi Rose windows application on my laptop, and kept changing the audio input /output settings until both PCM as well as DSD had audio playback on HiFiRose150B.
