For Roon to work, you need to run Roon Server on another device, e.g., PC (Linux or Windows), a Mac or Nucleus. Please see this guide.

From what you described, it sounds like you may be trying to use the iPad as the only Roon device. Roon needs a separate Roon Server running on another machine or appliance, and the iPad is used as a Remote, not as the server itself. The setup overview here explains that flow clearly: How Roon works.
If you want to play the music stored on the Luxman streamer through Roon, there still needs to be a Roon Server somewhere on your network, such as a Mac, Windows PC, Nucleus, or ROCK.

Wanted to follow up on this. Were you able to get a Roon Server running on another machine or appliance, since the iPad itself is just acting as a Roon Remote in that setup?
