Incorrect artist shown on google tv display

I’m using Roon and controlling it with an iPhone, streaming to my Eversolo a6. I am using a Google Chromecast to display through my TV. Frequently, Roon will show the correct album, but the artist behind the album will be incorrect. See attached. Restarting the display through the app does not work. Any ideas? If I manually unplug the Google TV and re-power, it, it corrects itself.

A few follow-up questions for you:

  1. Does this happen as soon as a new track by a different artist starts? Or, does it display a correct imagine initially, and then switch to an incorrect artist?
  2. What source are you playing content from? A playlist, radio station, or does this happen when streaming a single album from start to finish?
  3. How is your Roon server connected to your network, and how is the google TV?

Are you still experiencing this on the current early access build?

It doesn’t change artist at all. Album is correct
Streaming from albums, and I will change records randomly to fit my mood
Roon is connected via ethernet and Chromecast is wifi

Haven’t tried on current build TBH

Hey @Peter_Rustin,

Thanks for the update, and I’m sorry to hear your issue progresses. You mention the TV is connected via chromecast - from a server diagnostic report, I’m seeing it appear over both chromecast as well as airplay.

Could you potentially test out using one protocol at a time? Test only chromecast, and then only airplay, and let me know if the issue progresses on both/either. Thank you!

Thank you Benjamin but I am confused. I have an Apple TV which I use for watching tv but nothing else. Can you please explain what you want disabled and how?

There must have been a temporary hiccup on my end as I saw your Google TV specifically showing up under both streaming protocols.

Any chance you can test out hardwiring the TV and attempt to reproduce? Our team isn’t seeing anything out of the ordinary from your server diagnostic.

Benjamin thanks. Because the Chromecast is what is picking up the display signal, and is plugged into the HDMI of the TV, I’m not sure I understand how hardwiring the TV will make any difference here. Am I missing anything?
