Describe the issue

Roon says im arc ready but initial sync wont complete

Do you have ipv6 enabled on your home network?

If so, there is an issue with the current release of Roon (build 1392) that prevents the connective test results from displaying in the Roon → ARC → settings page and can result in ‘Ready’ being displayed when no connection is configured.

If this is the case, then turning ipv6 off on your Roon Server will enable you to see the ipv4 connectivity test results correctly.

If you have a Roon OS device (Nucleus or ROCK install), you will not be able to turn ipv6 off on the server so you will have to disable it in your router - but make sure you backup or make a note of your ipv6 settings so that you can restore them when needed. Some ISPs now rely on ipv6 to offer ipv4 connectivity.

Edit: build 1401 appears to fix the issues around missing diagnostic info on the ARC settings page so there is no longer any need to disabled ipv6.
