Hi team- I have an intermittent playback issue since adding a Douk Audio U2 Mini to my chain (in order to use optical, rather than Mscaler's usb input).

It all works for 2/3/4 hours at a time bit at random playback stops and refuses to continue with another track
The only solution is disconnecting the usb cable from my Sonore Signature Rendu SE Deluxe and plugging it back in

ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 connected via ethernet to my music server with an 8tb ssd->satellite ET12 connected via ethernet to Sonore opticalModule Deluxe->Signature Rendu SE Deluxe->Douk U2 Mini via usb->Mscaler via optical->Dave

Looking to use this instead of a direct Mscaler connection due to its much higher quality Xmos chip.

Thanks for writing in to let us know about this issue. I’ve activated diagnostics for your account. Can you please let us know the date and approximate time of the last playback issue so we can locate the event in your logs?

Thanks for the prompt response. Last issue was this morning between 07.00-08.00 in the morning (based in London, UK);

It is an intermittent but very constant issue compared to the uninterrupted playback when using usb out from the Rendu to the Mscaler.

I have gone ahead trying out a new optical cable- so far, so good with no dropouts today.

Fingers crossed this continues

Thanks for letting us know! I’ll leave this thread open for a few more days in case the issue reoccurs.

I ended up giving up on the Douc and went back to usb out of my Signature Rendu and into the Mscaler.

It would be great to know what might be causing these playback hiccups as the sound quality is even higher when not using USB…
