Thanks for taking the time to write in and share your report!
Based on a recent Roon Server diagnostic report, we’re seeing repeated playback failures due to corrupt media, for example:
Warn: [zoneplayer] Corrupt Media Detected
Info: [DCS] [zoneplayer] Open Result (Playing):Result[Status=CorruptMedia]
With that, we also see some failures when attempting to shake hands with the Roons broker, which communicates with Roon’s authentication servers to ensure that the user account is authorized and up to date:
Warn: [broker/accounts] failed to auth: Result[Status=Unauthorized]
If you haven’t yet, I’d safely stop Roon Server from running, and reboot both your server machine as well as your router, and see if your issues still persist.
I already rebooted both the server and router. The problem persist for all of my media, both streaming and on my SSD hard drive, and I know they are not corrupt.
I use Roon in two locations, as I have two homes that I travel between. The first network uses a Mikrotik CCR1009 router, hardwired via ethernet running at gigabit speed. My player/Server is Antipodes CX. The second network also uses the identical model router and is also hardwired. The player is the DCS Lina running on the Qnap NASbook TBS-464 SSD.
When I travel between homes and use the two systems, I will log out of Roon on the first server and log into the second server, and vice/versa. When this problem first occured on January 2nd, I shut down the Antipodes and the Mikrotik and restarted both systems. I also installed an update that appeared in Roon. And the problem persists.
Yesterday, on January 6th, I logged out of the Antipodes and logged into the DCS and the same problem appears. The playback behaves identical, the music stops after 30 seconds and skips forward several tracks. This leads me to believe the problem is not corrupt media, as the chance both of my recorded media or Tidal are corrupt is extremely high.
The Antipodes setup has been stable for the last seven years. i purchased the DCS system in July 2023, and have been switching between them every 1-2 months, and they both worked fine when switched on. I’m not technical geek, and I have asked for support from the company who sold me my music system. They advised me open a ticket in Roon, and I am hoping I find the solution here.
Thanks for the additional information! Roon still seems to be identifying a few of your files as corrupt, you can always review any skipped files via Roon Settings>Library>Skipped files as well as ‘Clean up Library.’
This is helpful information, thank you! Based on a more recent diagnostic report from your Antipodes, we’re still seeing failures due to corrupt media, both from your local storage and from Tidal, which is interesting.
Specifically, were see FTMSI-B ti/21BEEE5F download status: AllBlocksDownloaded which indicates that the file from Tidal was fully downloaded to the cache without any access timeout or interruptions. Despite this, Warn: [Worker (9)] [zoneplayer] Corrupt Media Detected suggests an issue in the integrity of the downloaded media.
Do you have any active VPNs or third party network security active in your chain?
Are you able to play Tidal content directly, without Roon, using the same setup without issue?
Let’s see if clearing your Roon Server cache may help here:
