If I stop the music Roon will then play the internet radio…I deleted the station and it continues to play. Clearly a bug as I cannt turn it off.

I think you might be confusing Internet Radio with the Radio function. The Radio function has nothing to do with Internet Radio and is found on the Queue page. See if it is turned on and if so, turn if off. I think the Radio function defaults to on, which means that it will start the moment your queued music ends.
Thanks…after posting I realized that the issue wasn’t to do with roon at all and was a result of my particular setup…the audio device, once released from roon went to the iTunes radio which had been in the background…Please ignore this post.
