Internet Radio streaming of RTE Radio1 [Solved]

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

ROCK on NUC5i3 latest build

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

All wired, Netgear GS108v2 & GS105e switches

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Naim NDS network player fed by SonoreUPnP bridge over Ethernet.

Description Of Issue

Everything is working ok (internal streaming, Tidal streaming, other IRL & UK stations, apart from playback of Internet Station URL of http://av.rasset.ie/av/live/radio/radio1.m3u for RTÉ Radio1.
The URL works outside Roon on my iPad Pro, over WiFi (same router, modem etc)

Does not work in any playback zone.

RTE1 works in Naim vTuner on the NDS, so the station is broadcasting.

Something strange is going on.
Can you added thr URL to your Roon Core and see if it plays.

Thank you,
Simon

Hi @simon_pepper,

I just added the station to my ROCK setup and it plays back ok. When you say “does not work”, are you seeing any error messages being displayed? Does the station appear to play but with no audio?

I would also check to make sure you have installed your Codecs properly on ROCK, see:
https://kb.roonlabs.com/Roon_OS_Missing_Codecs

Yes, everything is fine with the Codecs and I can play other stations in MP3 or AAC.

Will reboot ROCK, Remotes, Endpoints, Modem and Firewall.

Thanks,
Simon.

A reboot of components - modem, VPN route (Firewall/DHCP), ROCK, Endpoints, Remotes and the issue is no-longer observed.
Don’t know what or where the problem was, or whether it was WWW side - but I have the news & interviews in the morning back again.

Hi @simon_pepper,

Thanks for the update here and glad to hear you’re back up and running!
