There are an increasing number of high quality Internet radios but I cant find one that has the roon app built in or that allows you to download it. Does such a thing exist? It would save having to bluetooth roon to my kitchen radio from my phone which has the minor disadvantage of interruptions when a call or text comes in. I presume having the app on the radio would be more stable and allow a slightly higher quality sound.
Hi @Terence_Anthony,
AFAIK there are not such devices with built-in Roon.
However, as you already have Roon I’d suggest looking for a Roon Ready speaker.
The Roon Ready (speaker would show up as an audio zone on Roon and be controlled from any Roon Remote connected to your LAN.
There are other options to Roon Ready, such as AirPlay, ChromeCast, Sonos … these protocols are supported by Roon but the level of integration / stability can vary.
Thanks. Yes, these methods are fine. It was just that I saw Ruark had an updated R1 with Spotify and Deezer pre-installed so I was hoping there might be a product with Roon on. I guess it will happen soon.
