iOS Apps on iPhone & iPad slow to refresh after switch to background (switching to another screen)

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Google WiFi Mesh Network

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

USB > Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital

Description Of Issue

When I swipe away from the Roon IOS App (eg. to respond to a text) the app has to refresh. This happens every time, no matter how quick I switch back to Roon. Background refresh is enabled on iPhone 11 and iPad 2019 version. Is there not a way for the Roon App to hold a persistent connection?

Hi @MARCUS_CLARKE,

Is the behavior the same if you go to the home screen and back into Roon or does this only occur when a notification appears and you switch that way?
