Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

  • Using ROCK (latest version) on Intel NUC NUC7i5BNH.

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

  • Wifi: Netgear Orbi (latest firmware)
  • Intel NUC is connected to Netgear router through Ethernet cable.

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

  • Roon Remote on iPhone 11 (latest iOS) - Wifi
  • Roon Zone: Chord Mojo + Poly - Wifi
  • Remote Control: Chubby Buttons (physical multimedia remote) - Bluetooth into iPhone

Description Of Issue

  • The Chubby Buttons remote DOES NOT work with the Roon app for iOS.
  • The remote works as designed with all multimedia apps on iOS such as Spotify, Tidal, MConnect, Youtube, etc.
  • For example, I am able to skip, pause, and change volume with the Chubby Buttons remote.
  • Why is the iOS Roon Remote app the only one to NOT work with the Chubby Buttons remote?

The Roon Remote application on iOS currently supports bluetooth transport controls for local playback, meaning playback to the iOS device’s current output device.

I’ve submitted your feedback as a feature request for iOS transport controls for remote playback zones.
