My apologies for how long-standing this issue has become for you!
If you could again - please fully remove Roon from your iOS device, reboot your router, then reinstall Roon mobile on the iOS device, and see if you can connect.
Once again I removed the Roon app from my iPhone and rebooted my router and again that did not solve the problem. I have done that many times before with the same result.
Thanks for giving that another try @Greg_Johnson - I’m sorry it didn’t help.
We’re having a tough time connecting to your Nucleus to request a fresh diagnostic report, would you be able to reproduce the issue (attempt to connect your iPhone again - grab the date and time) and then send over a set of manual Nucleus Roon Server logs?
Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
I have not gotten back to you until now and have not attempted to send you a set of logs because this past week, we have been encountering problems, with our internet service provider Rogers. They initially involved our two TV’s and their remote controls not working properly. Rogers has now replaced their Technicolor XB6 modem/router twice and gone through 5 infinity TV boxes before the 5th infinity box finally worked. Roger’s previous Hitron modem/router was bridged to my ASUS router (which is now an ASUS GT-AX11000 router), however the Rogers technician who visited our home did not bridge the new XB6 modem to my ASUS router, in order to get the affinity TV boxes to work. I have since been in a telephone conversation with Roger’s whose agent insists that their infinity TV boxes will not work it their modem is bridged. This contradicts information that I have obtained from the internet.
Despite my ASUS GT-AX11000 not being bridged to the XB6 modem, it remains connected to the modem with an ethernet cable.
The reason that I originally bridged the modem to my ASUS router was to improve music device performance, on the advice of various audiophiles. Therefore I used hardwired ethernet cables from my router to my high end musical devices rather than rely on non-wired connections that were prone to performance problems.
After all of this has happened, I am at a loss to explain why the Roon app on my iPhone is now able to find my Roon Nucleus+ server but why it does not show my Devialet Expert Pro 220 integrated amplifier, even though that amplifier is shown on my ASUS router app as having an IP address and being connected. I will try to “tinker around” and fix this problem.
If anyone in the Roon community has any comments on my situation, especially the bridging issue with the modem, your comments would be appreciated
Yes my Devialet Expert Pro 220 integrated amplifier does have the same subnet as my Nucleus+ pro server and my iPhone 17 Pro Max that my Roon app is on.
I tried the following power recycle:I unplugged my Devialet amplifier power cord, my Nucleus+ core server, my ethernet switches and my router & replugged them in, in the reverse order, allowing each to fully power on before I plugged in the next one. I also replaced the ethernet cable between my regular Linksys ethernet switch & my noise cleaning Ethergen (Uptone Audio) ethernet switch & also the ethernet cable between the Ethergen switch and my amplifier, just in case one or more of the ethernet cables broke down. All of that did not solve the problem.
It is very perplexing to me that my amplifier shows up on my ASUS GT-AX11000 router but still does not show up as an audio zone on my Roon software on my desktop computer nor on the Roon app on my iPhone.
I tried by-passing the noise cleaning Ethergen switch with an ethernet cable going directly from my Lynksys SE2008 ethernet switch to my Devialet amplifier. Again I did a full re-powering cycle (first my router, 2nd my switch, 3rd my Roon Nucleus+ core, 4th my Devialet amplifer) but still my Devialet amplifier was not being recognized by Roon.
Two other things that I tried were to replace the ethernet cable with another one and to change the Lynksys SE2008 switch port into which the ethernet cable was plugged. These actions did not solve the problem either.
As you can see, I have tried many things to try to fix, the problem that neither the Roon software on my desktop computer nor on my Apple iPhone are able to detect my Devialet amplifier. Nothing has worked yet to solve this problem.
In addition, this morning I went into Devialet’s website, for configuring their amplifiers, to confirm that for my amplifier, the “WiFi” option is turned off & that the ethernet option is turned on. I also once again tried unplugging & re-powering. I also re-installed the Roon operating software on my Roon Nucleus+ server. Again, none of these attempts solved the problem.
Has anyone got any other suggestions as to what to try?
