Is it normal not seeing the usb DAC under Sq Touch?

Maybe it is a silly question and even can be embarrassing for me when reading the answers…

I am using a ProJect DAC, Pre Box S2 Digital… Fully supported by Roon. Connection by USB due to the “almost” magic trick onto Squeezebox Touch that provides Usb digital audio output.

Why I cannot see it on the music path?

Thanks for helping me on a obvious non dramatic question. At the end I am listening to music, the only thing that matters.

Because the Squeezebox doesnt report it back to Roon. USB audio output was added to Squeezeboxes by a community plugin and wasn’t originally part of the hardware spec. As the Squeezebox has its own dac built in that’s what it reports back to Roon as it doesn’t determine if it’s using this or an external dac.

And as I said, what it cares is I hear music (even MQA files with its indicator on DAC screeen.
