Issue moving server to new computer without authorization prompt (ref#NVGXTN)

· Trying to mover server to new computer ,not getting message to de authorise or authorise licence .Followed the procedure yet stalling when loading music says folders aren't authorised.

· new computer is running ethernet connectivity old computer on wi-fi same network

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

Let’s try a fresh database and see if your issues persist:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Thank You Vadim , I’ve completed the process as you outlined , Unfortunately when I log into ROON on new computer its is still saying folders not authorised to load music ? MSG : " "Error loading folder unauthorised " I await further advice to resolve

Vadim , hey hey I resolved this issue allowing full access in the privacy settings . It fixed the problem . thank you for interest . Greg
