Issue playing new artists on Roon with Tidal (ref#V4SU98)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Using roon and Tidal I keep getting............ nothing. Cannot play new things I am wanting to listen to Immanual Wilkens, Tommaso Moretti, Ches Smith... long list. But ask to play Al Stewert year of the cat... got that! ???

They are there in Tidal and in Roon with Tidal

Maybe the problem is that Roon‘s search can’t deal with two typos. It works if I search for Immanuel Wilkins.

Yes, also there but not found with „Stewert“. Stewart works.

Generally, Roon search tolerates a little fuzziness in spelling, but not always and not very well if there’s more than one typo.

If none of these work for you, even with correct spellings, something is amiss and Roon support will be along to help.

Thank you for your post. We’ve pulled logs so we can pinpoint any errors.

Diagnostics show repeated playback initiation failures with Tidal tracks on a particular Zone named Brooklyn DAC.

03/06 18:22:06 Warn: [Brooklyn DAC] [zoneplayer/raat] Failed to prepare Brooklyn DAC+ in 15000ms. Giving up
03/06 18:22:06 Warn: [Brooklyn DAC] [zoneplayer/raat] failed to setup any endpoints..giving up

This Zone fails to initiate on the selected driver, which appears to be the Wasapi native driver on this Roon Server machine.

Please try using the dedicated driver for this DAC from Mytek instead:

Also double-check you’re using the latest firmware for this device from Mytek’s download page here.

Do you have any issues with Tidal if you play to the laptop speakers?
