Issue with Ifi Zen Stream and Aune X8 DAC settings resetting to "device volume" upon restarting Roon, Zen Stream, or DAC (ref#QSS2KL)

Using Ifi Zen stream and Aune x8 dac, settings always return to "device volume" when restarting roon, zen stream or dac. Zen stream set to fixed volume in external settings.

Tried reinstalling. Had this for a some time now and getting tired of it.

Thanks for reaching out with your reports. I am unable to reproduce this issue on my end using my Roon Ready zones (though I don’t have an iFi Zen). Can you please reproduce the issue let us know the exact local time + date when it flips by itself from fixed volume to device volume? We can check diagnostics for further clues.

It worked fine with usb directly from pc to Aune x8, still does with optical. So the problem started when adding Ifi zen stream.

Restarted Roon, 20:42 (utc +01) 25 apr 24, and Ifi zen stream device changed back to device volume.

Tried resetting router, reconfigure Ifi Zen but no luck so far.

Thankful for any help.

We’ve found the below trace in your diagnostics. It seems like your Ifi is not initializing. I’d recommend contacting Ifi support and giving them the below trace.
