I frequently have my 5G signal drop out, especially on trains. ARC stops playing once the signal is lost and then goes into a state saying nothing playing. Should it not say, here’s what you were last listening to and the specific timestamp?
For me as soon as I get signal back I just want to continue playing and should just be able to click play and off I go. Any way to fix this?
Hi @Johnny_Maelstrom,
I appreciate your patience while we worked through the queue.
Unfortunately, that is not the way ARC is currently designed to work. However, if you would like to see this feature implemented I would advise you to create a thread under Feature Suggestions. Other users will vote on your suggested feature and if it gains enough traction it may be taken up by our dev team.
In the meantime for uninterrupted play on ARC, try using offline mode.
It seems an oversight that an app designed to be used on a variable mobile signal can’t remember the album, track and time within the track when it goes offline to allow resumption when signal comes back. It’s pretty standard in most audio, and video streaming apps today. Especially, when I press pause on ARC during normal play back it can remember the place where I paused and resume when I want, so why not when signal is lost?
