Have not been able to connect to my Nucleus for months. I get a message saying an update is needed, Roon attempts to update, I get a message saying Waiting for remote Core, then finally it says Uh Oh and errors out. Repeat to infinity.

An odd issue you have indeed! I’m curious to see if refreshing your Roon database may help in this case. Do you have a recent backup saved?

Please follow the steps below to refresh your database:

  • Create a Backup of your current Roon Database
  • Stop RoonServer from running in Nucleus’s WebUI
  • Navigate to your Nucleus’ Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Restart the RoonServer in the WebUI to generate a new Database
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Roon Server” and connect to the new database

Well isn’t that something. I’ve had this issue for months and the Nucleus finally resolved itself right after I write into support finally. Go figure.

So it broke out of the loop finally and updated my database and once that happened it is good to go and I can access my music again. Thank you for the prompt reply!
