Issue with Roon ARC login connectivity for a year (ref#B276C8)

Full form submission

What’s happening?

I'm having trouble with Roon ARC

What best describes your issue with ARC

I can't log in

The Roon ARC tab in the settings of Roon says that ARC has been confirmed to securely accessible. However, when I try to use ARC, I try to login, and it just stays there stuck on the login screen trying to connect. Forums just say “it just magically started to work”. But this has been going on for a year now.

I am having exactly the same issue. Log into ARC, get a security alert email of a new login and ARC remains on the login screen.

ARC has been working flawlessly for a year or more previously. No changes to firewall port forwards or to Roon.

Roon/Settings/Roon ARC shows “Roon ARC can securely access your Roon Server”.

Mobile is an Apple iPhone SE3, iOS 17.3.1

Heey I just want get some more visability on this

Hi @Elon,
Thanks for this report. Are you able to use ARC when you are on your home wifi?

Nope. I can’t get passed the login screen shown in my original post, regardless of whether or not I’m connected to WiFi.

@Elon please try reinstalling ARC and setting another default browser on your phone to try logging in again.

I switched my default from chrome to safari (I’m on an iPhone), deleted and reinstalled ARC, and it’s still doing the same thing. I tried to switch the port from 55000 to 56000, verified in Roon that “Roon ARC can securely access your Roon Server”, and still the problem persists. I also restarted my phone before trying to log in again. (Btw, I’m running Roon ROCK on a NUC)

Any ideas?

Hi @Elon,

Do you have any Content Blockers toggled on in your Safari settings?

  1. Open up the Safari browser.
  2. Open the “Safari” menu in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click “Preferences” > “Websites” > “Content blockers.”
  4. Any content blocking services currently active will be listed here. If any are active, toggle them off and try to login again.

SUCCESS!! There’s a few content blocking areas in the safari settings that I turned off. I also turned off an extension that blocked content. So for anyone in the future reading this, check all the settings for content blocking. Thank you @connor!

Glad to hear it @Elon and thank you for your patience! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist with your Roon ecosystem in a new topic thread.
