What’s happening?

· I'm having trouble connecting to Roon

What type of connection issue?

Describe the issue

Roon keeps asking to find my core. This is my Mac and is my core. I click use this mac and it asks for my login. When I do it just goes to the load screen and sits there without finishing.

Describe your network setup

I have a router provided from Century Link. I use a network bridge from SoTM Neo 200. I am running HQ player NAA within Roon or I will just use Roon. I am running a MacBook Air as my core and my phone or laptop as a remote control for Roon. The system worked perfectly for years.

In your pic, the web page is hidden, if you put the focus back on that page, check to see if it is asking for an additional selection.

Hi @sdeharde66,

Welcome to the community! Thanks for taking the time to write in - were you able to give @Rugby’s above reply a try?

I’d also be curious to review the firewall settings on your Mac - can you confirm all the items from the article below are listed properly?

Firewall on or off, it still does not respond. It keeps asking to use my mac as core and when I click that it asks for my password and starts loading. It either loads indefinitely or asks me to manage audio devices. No audio devices appear. Not even the computer speakers or headphone output.

Hi @sdeharde66,
We’ve activated diagnostics on your server and found that Roon was unable to contact the servers that it uses authenticate your username and password and log you in. So we should concentrate our troubleshooting on you server machines connection to the internet. You already eliminated the possibility of a firewall being the issue so can you tell me if your MacBook has any trouble reaching a website like google?
