Describe the issue

Brand new user, downloaded the apps and signed up today. The plan was to use my 2018 MacBook Pro (13.6.1) as the server, and an iPad and iPhone (iOS 16 on both) as remotes. All versions of Roon are updated and current (all downloaded today 5/27). I was able to get the Roon server loaded up on the MBP and connected to Qobuz. Even got it to connect to my raspberry pi running volumio.

Next, I downloaded Roon onto both the iPad and iPhone to serve as remotes but on both devices it just says "looking for your Roon Server". It never sees the MBP. I have confirmed that all firewalls are off, and all devices are on the same network. The only progress I can make is that when I change a setting on the server (like the name) it suddenly pops up on the remote and says "connecting" but the connection never happens and eventually just times out.

I deleted and re-downloaded the apps the server and the remotes, and restarted all devices. All devices including the MBP meet the minimum system requirements.

Describe your network setup

All connected via Wifi, confirmed that all are on the same network. Strong signal. The router comes from Spectrum.

Also forgot to mention that the core (server) is set to allow incoming connections.

Thanks for your help. I’m not using a mesh network or any extenders. Also, the MBP has no Ethernet jack so I have to use WiFi.

Problem solved, went into router settings and activated PunP and things work now.
