Thank you. I look forward to the findings. For now I’m unable to use Roon with USB output.
Hi @Daniel_Melby,
The development team gave us a potential fix for you.
1. Search the start menu for “Sound” and select the “Sound. Control Panel” option.
2. Open the Recording Devices tab, Locate the device in the list and go to Properties
then Advanced.
3. Set the Default Format to 44100 Hz if it isn’t already and click OK.
4. Go back in and reset it back to 48000 Hz and click OK.
Thanks for the reply.
I went ahead and performed the instructions carefully. I changed the recording device setting for the xCORE USB Audio to 44k then back to 48k on multiple occasions.
Unfortunately this did not resolve the problem. I continue to be unable to play any audio through roon (but can still play through Qobuz and windows apps).
Hey @Daniel_Melby,
Thanks for giving that a try and I’m sorry it wasn’t a solution for you
At this point, the proper next step for our investigation is to attempt reproduction in-house with our QA team. We’ll need a similar device to attempt reproduction, and to provide full transparency, progress will likely be slow in this sense.
Until we’re able to investigate further, we’d suggest leaning more on your System Output for playback if at all possible.
Thank you
