Can not connect to Rock server to add codec: access refused when i enter guest-guest

We unfortunately, cannot retrieve detailed diagnostics report from your nucleus yet.

I’d recommend you to try the following:

  1. use your nucleus’s ip instead of name when connecting, for you it should look like “smb://192.168.0.3/Data/Storage/InternalStorage” for Mac or “\192.168.0.3\Data\Storage\InternalStorage” for windows .

  2. if you are using windows please observe this instruction in order to adjust security settings.

  3. Make sure you’re entering login and password from capital letter - “Guest”

  4. try to connect as guest without login and password.

If none of the above helped, can you please take a screenshot of the issue you get and share it with us.

Also, do you get access to RoonOS Web interface via LAN ?

Rock manual : " 1. If ROCK does not appear, For PC enter ‘\rock\data’ in the address bar (not the search box) and press Enter. For Mac enter ‘smb://ROCK’ or ‘smb://[IP Address of your ROCK]’ (don’t include the brackets, only the IP address)"

On Mac, you should not connect to smb://ROCK or smb://ipaddress but smb://ROCK/data or smb://ipaddress/data

Apologies for any confusion here - you can connect using

smb://ROCK

I have a Mac connected to a ROCK using the exact share path. You should be able to click ‘guest’ as an option rather than manually inputting any credentials.
