Issues with Allo USBridge

I’ll download and try it tonight, I didn’t change the name so it should appear. I also have a Google onhub that I can wire an Ethernet cable to the usbridge and maybe get the IP address through the Google WiFi app.

As far as a monitor yes I have my TV already connected and I have access to a usb mouse and keyboard as well.

Thanks for the help

so i downloaded advanced IP Scanner and it automatically scans my netwrok (192.168.100.0-250) and it doesn’t find dietpi unless I change the search to 192.168.0.100 (which is what the monitor hooked to the usbridge shows and this way I find Dietpi. I’m not sure what to do from here, the instructions above say to change the IP address in the menus offered, What do I need to change it to?

For reference, when I was able to access allo gui the IP address at the time was 24.124.90.220 and also 21.124.69.137

Also I was never able to acces Allo GUI when typing hhttp://dietpi.local even when the above addressed will work.

Sounds like your device is set to a static ip in the wrong subnet.

you can log into device with monitor, keyboard and mouse connected?

I did warn about this possibility…sounds maybe like you dns entries are possibly way off too…

Why is someone from @allo.com not jumping in here?

This actually makes sense and could be the case. I have a monitor and keyboard connected already just in case.

I’ve been trying to contact allo multiple times with no response other that “we will send your request to the engineer” once, a few days ago.

let me get a mouse, but I already have the keyboard and monitor conncted

no problem log in as root
run dietpi-config
go to network options: adapters hit enter
before I go further you are connected to device with network cable or wifi?
You won’t need it you will use arrow keys on keyboard
So when I say go to you will up or down arrow

I’m here, and cable

perfect get to screen I discuss I edited since you left

I’m already under the network options:adapter screen

select Ethernet change wired network settings
Under shange mode does it say static or dhcp

done and following

static. that what is says

thats the problem
go up to static and hit enter it should now say dhcp go down to apply: save all changes hit enter
it will ask you to confirm hit enter on okay

Do I need to change it to dynamic?

mine says dhcp but yes dynamic means the same thing

I was just typing something because my browser was not updating.

I’ve now changed to DHCP and I’m back to the network page.

lost mine hold on I was set to static
you are back where you selected wired adapter?

Sure don’t worry about it. That’s exactly where I am.

so hit enter on it again in upper left hand corner what IP address do you have?
Under change mode confirm it says dhcp or dynamic
