I’ll download and try it tonight, I didn’t change the name so it should appear. I also have a Google onhub that I can wire an Ethernet cable to the usbridge and maybe get the IP address through the Google WiFi app.
As far as a monitor yes I have my TV already connected and I have access to a usb mouse and keyboard as well.
so i downloaded advanced IP Scanner and it automatically scans my netwrok (192.168.100.0-250) and it doesn’t find dietpi unless I change the search to 192.168.0.100 (which is what the monitor hooked to the usbridge shows and this way I find Dietpi. I’m not sure what to do from here, the instructions above say to change the IP address in the menus offered, What do I need to change it to?
For reference, when I was able to access allo gui the IP address at the time was 24.124.90.220 and also 21.124.69.137
Also I was never able to acces Allo GUI when typing hhttp://dietpi.local even when the above addressed will work.
no problem log in as root
run dietpi-config
go to network options: adapters hit enter
before I go further you are connected to device with network cable or wifi?
You won’t need it you will use arrow keys on keyboard
So when I say go to you will up or down arrow
thats the problem
go up to static and hit enter it should now say dhcp go down to apply: save all changes hit enter
it will ask you to confirm hit enter on okay
