Hi. I got some new issues about your app. I got sys notification:,,Part of this app has been blocked. Some features of Roon may not work because we can't confirm who published Roon.dll that the app tried to load'' and my remote can't connect with Roon server again ( it was ok after use your advise but after check my firewall allowed apps list noticed that roonbridge.exe disappeared from it). Can you support me with solving this problems? Regards
This looks like it may be caused by the „Smart App Control“ of Windows 11.
It is possible that it indicates a malware infection of your computer but more likely it’s Smart App Control going wild and reporting a false positive. Google is full of this issue with all kinds of different applications and even Windows system files. Examples:
You should take the appropriate measures, but I’m not sure what they are. Definitely run a malware scan on your system to rule this out. The Microsoft documentation in the above link says that it’s not possible to add a particular app to the allow list of Smart App Control. You can turn off Smart App Control but then it might not be easy to turn it back on again.
The Microsoft documentation also says that it can be caused by an issue with the digital certificate of the Roon files, in which case it’s possible that RoonLabs have to sort this out with Microsoft.
Hi Daniel
At this moment notifications from system stopped coming after reinstalling Roon and I solved problem with remote (VPN was set to block connection) but don’t understand why at Windows (Win 11) start Roon and Roon server is not listed and why I have to first manually run server. Roon app can’t find server. Can I add server to startup apps? Can you advise me about these issues?
Regards
