Description of Issue

I have issues with playback when the track I am playing is 96kHz or above, seemingly. This is characterised by periodic skipping, which gets worse/more frequent as the track progresses, until Roon tells me either “Qobuz is loading slowly” or “Media is loading slowly” depending on whether the track is on Qobuz or locally source.

  • 44/16 versions of the same 96/24 track play fine (as do 44/24)

  • The same track will skip whether it is on Qobuz or from the local SSD

  • This happens with DSP on or off

  • CPU usage on Roon core is low

  • RAM usage is low

  • Network streaming speeds are ~5Mbps to LAN

  • Internet speeds are sufficient for Qobuz

  • LAN speeds should be sufficient (tested over wireless, as is my Roon-ready streamer)

Let me know what else we would need to track this down appropriately. Cheers

Edit: It appears a factory reset of the CA1000 resolved this issue.

Just adding a reply so I can close this off: I ended up trying another device over wireless (xDSD Gryphon attached to MacBook) to make sure it wasn’t a Wi-Fi issue, and this worked flawlessly, so I factory rest the CA1000 and this resolved the issue.
