· Hello, Im having issues downloading my CD's onto Roon. The problem is with CD's that have two discs in the collection. Lynyrd Skynyrd, probably my fault, I may have inserted disc two first to rip before disc one. The result was that Roon identified disc one as disc two and vice versa. To try and resolve this I deleted the album, tried to reload it, making sure it was in the correct order but Roon will not now accept it to be downloaded.
Not wanting to do the same with Rolling Stones, Shine a Light, I made sure the two CD's were loaded in the correct order to find disc one to be in my library but I have no idea where disc two is. The lyrics being displayed on Jumping Jack Flash are wrong, they are the lyrics of Undercover of the Night
When you delete an album directly inside the Roon app, Roon has indexing them and additng to the database. Please try to do the following:
Move the files out: Locate the folders for both the Lynyrd Skynyrd and Rolling Stones albums on your hard drive. Move them completely outside of the folder that Roon is currently watching (for example, move them to your computer’s Desktop).
Clean up the database: Open Roon and navigate to Settings > Library > Library Maintenance. Click on Clean Up Library. This will force Roon to clear its database entries of those deleted files and any incorrect metadata (like the wrong lyrics for “Jumping Jack Flash”).
Verify Folder Structure: Since you are using an Apple CD writer (likely through the Apple Music/iTunes app), make sure the files are grouped together neatly. The best structure for Roon is:
Rolling Stones - Shine a Light (Folder)
CD1 (Folder) → put disc 1 tracks here
CD2 (Folder) → put disc 2 tracks here
Move them back in: Drag the main album folders from your Desktop back into your Roon watched storage folder.
Roon will now scan them as completely new, fresh files. It should merge the two discs into a single album properly and pull down the correct lyrics for the tracks.
