Music won’t play or issues with my library

· Streaming tracks greyed out or unavailable

· Hello

I’m running Roon on an Intel NUC and have a share established on my Bluesound Vault2i.

I ripped a new multi-CD to my Bluesound Vault2i. The new rip appeared in the library incorrectly. I went about my usual routine of making manual edits, then rescanning the storage device. Some of the last CD’s library entries ended up being duplicated (and indented ???). Not knowing what went wrong, I opted to use the Edit | Delete album function. Upon completed of that function, the malformed rip remained untouched in the library. As well, none of the files were deleted, contrary to the “72 files will be deleted from your hard drive” warning message. The library is still referencing one discs tracks as “Unavailable”.

Any suggestions on how to get these bad entries off my library?

Thanks, and much appreciated for any support offered!

Hi @Kev,

Thank you for your post.

We’ve requested remote diagnostics from the affected ROCK. When you ran the delete, Roon didn’t find the files at the expected filepath. Are you able to share a screenshot of the underlying file location in the Watched Folder in Roon Settings?

Please try browsing to the actual file location for this compilation outside of Roon to confirm the current filepath on the Vault. Next, force a rescan of your Watched Folder so Roon picks up the current paths. Then go to Settings → Library → Library Maintenance and run the cleanup for deleted files.

Let us know if this purges these “Unavailable” entries. If any duplicates remain after that, try the delete once more. We’ll watch for your reply.

Thanks!

Hi @Kev,

Reaching back out as we haven’t seen a response and this thread will soon auto-close.

Do these files still persist after trying a library cleanup from Settings → Library?
