is it possible to use control4 driver with brooklyn bridge II roon?
Even though they promised me a free upgrade on the BB I bought a year ago, I just had enough and sent it back to them last week for a refund (which, btw, they are very slow to issue).
Long story short, too many tech issues. Their products are desgined with insanely good form factor and ton of functionality, and they sound great. But they are totally unreliably and prone to break down (I returned their brooklyn amp last year after 3 brand new ones blew up in succession, including with their own tech at my place; and Iāve ran through 2 brooklyn bridge units with different issues of roon integration and power issues).
Iāve been on hold for their releases since March as theyāve been pushing their dates again and again. I asked them point black last week if December was a hard date or just a palceholder based on wishful thinking and it is 100% the latter.
I route for startups and boutique companies, but this was just too much.
I see that BB2 is now slated for February.
Though I still havenāt got them to respond to any emails about actually taking up the trade in offer for existing BB owners.
Any news about what CPU is in this thing? Iām under the impression that a proper Roon core required a minimum of an Intel i3, but, the cooling requirements based on heat generation inside that case makes me think Celeron.
I donāt expect Roon to provide support information for it, but, seeing as how itās going to be one of the very few one box solutions granted Roon core status, Iām assuming they have some insight into the product and have offered approval of its design, to a degree (no pun intended!)
I just received a formal email about the BB2 trade in offer, including production and release schedules. Some technical details given, it does say that itās based on Linux and NUC technology. Linear power supply, AirPlay, Bluetooth. Itās not clear if ROCk will be pre loaded which, as far as I know, Roon does not allow. Will we get a comment from Roon or Mytek about the details now?
Just got the upgrade email too. I qualify for their 1st upgrade path since I bought my BB1 in November 2020 - but I must confess that the $1,495 price tag gives me pause. I donāt need a Roon core - happily using my BB1 as an endpoint.
Anyone have the new unit yet. I see that supply issues are a problem for Mytek and they have been only shipping a few at a time. My only concern is the Roon core ability and the various bugs with a feature so new to the product line
I decided not to bother. I will stick with Mk I for now.
