It’s the same here. I was tempted to start a new thread because my room seems a bit larger than the person who started this thread.
I’m looking for a little more thump in songs that focus more on bass (Primus, Rap, and all that Pop my kids want to hear) and in movies. Our new LS60s are the primary drivers for the living room TV. The KC92 appears to be a natural choice, but the subwoofer heads on Reddit and other forums continue recommending much larger subs for bigger rooms.
The idea of saving some money by going with the dual RSL Speedwoofer 12S approach is appealing, too.
As I noted earlier in this thread, it might be useful to check the frequency response, using REW on a PC and a microphone, e.g. UMIK; I have used these with interesting and useful results. The REW web site has instructions on how to use the app; to be fair, it is quite complicated.
By measuring in your various listening positions, you should be able to see what is happening. You might find that moving the speaker positions has an affect on the frequency response, especially at low frequencies.
For a simpler approach you might be able to use a smartphone with external mic, see for example, this Youtube video describes an app called Spectroid for Android phones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AOpPa776Ho I haven’t personally tried the two apps mentioned in the video.
