The 128k MP3 is in the db but not the 320k AAC. Manually adding the web url fails as expected. Is this listed 320k AAC-LC compatible with Roon?
Thanks

Hello @Larry_Post , I’ve added the 320k aac stream.
Please check if ok.
I’m afraid both the AAC streams fail to load in Roon but work without issue using links on station webpage. MP3 still works as it did before.
Sounds like a codec issue.
Do you run on a NAS? Both Synology and Qnap need their codecs changed in order to play aac.
See

And

Yes, thank you. Apparently I’ve not played any AAC since migrating from Windows to Synology. Vastly better performance on NAS believe it or not! I’m not running on Synology hardware though…
I’m not clear - is the Roon server on the Nas or not?
Yes, I’m running Synology DSM7 but not on Synology slow-ass hardware. Rather it’s on a very old Intel machine and it runs circles around the much newer Windows 11 machine I was running Roon Server on. The difference is astounding. I’ve also run ROCK/Mock on the same hardware in the past and it suffered with more issues than Windows versions over the years. Of course it was ‘unsupported’.
Both are old but NAS hw is much older and yet performs vastly better.
Intel(R) Core™ i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz circa 2011 - running DSM7. Roon utilization very low, scans library at startup in seconds, barely loads a core upsampling PCM to the max my dac supports, along with 7 bands of peq.
Intel(R) Core™ i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz circa 2015 - running Windows 11 - Worked but had to restart every few days to remain stable, scheduled reboot daily ‘fixed’ it. Performance was OK but adding new albums from Qobuz would often stall and I’d have to manually refresh the view to get the ‘added’ album to be able to ‘like’, etc. No such issue on Linux/NAS/DSM7.
