KKBOX: switching between multiple KKBOX accounts

I have two kkbox accounts.

Let’s say I have an A account and a B account.
I log in to kkbox from roon with A account.
When I log out and log back in, I cannot enter my account and am automatically logged in with the A account.
There is no way to log in with the B account.
How can I log in with the B account?

  • Logout from KKBOX
  • Stop Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Navigate to Database\Registry\Core
  • Find the file kkbox_account and delete it
  • Find the folder “Cache”
  • Rename the “Cache” folder to “Cache_old” (or delete it)
  • Start Roon and login to KKBOX again

Thank you very much.

The results were the same.
Automatically, you will be logged in as account A.

And,
I could not find the kkbox_account file.

That is crucial. You need to find it. Can you find Database\Registry\Core folder?

If you are using Windows to run Roon, in file explorer, you can search kkbox_account using file explorer search, when you are in the Database Location.

You may perhaps unhide system / hidden files in file explorer options, although I’m not sure Roon files are hidden.

To be sure you have signed out of kkbox in Roons settings/services section?

I can’t find it in windows search.
Only “KKBox_storage_sync_version_” files related to kkbox were found.

I have no further idea other than telling you to reboot the Roon Core after logout.

Thank you very much.

I was able to log in with another roon remote.

With the previous Roon Remote that did not work, check whether you have a saved account and password in the browser.

Thank you very much.

The problem was that the browser remembered the kkbox ID and password.

This seems to have happened to more than one person. Does the solution here help?

Hi @Keith_Cheung,

I’ve merged your post with another user’s thread concerning the same issue.

Try clearing the saved IDs and passwords in the default browser for which you’ve logged into KKBOX on the affected device (see the above solution).

Thanks!
