Thanks @connor: We’ve made considerable progress and it’s been a pleasure working with you and your team
Hi @benjamin : Yes: large local library but Roon has already made significant progress in improving things
Yes, large library but eliminating composers after playing/added classical album has helped immensely
Just some quick updates on my end… I notice that Arc works fine when I initially install it on my phone. However, if any changes are made to my library, that’s when the crashing beings. That could be the addition of any new albums or changes to playlists. As an interim fix, I’ve been deleting/reinstalling the app when I know I’ve made changes to the app. Hopefully this helps someone (for now).
It works the same for me
I finally got around to updating my phone to the iphone15 basic model, and these issues appear to have been resolved for me - although I do occasionally still have connectivity problems. These, however, appear to be my unreliable network configuration, not the app (or at least, not as much!). Thanks for the support!!
Here’s what I learned after working with you on the ARC/iPhone memory issue with a large library for about 6 months: 1. Eliminating “composers" to “added" after playing a classical album helped enormously 2. ensuring that all 30 or so album covers had been downloaded with offline content before trying new downloads helped 3. Re-booting nucleus helped after repeated re-try something went wrong. Good luck!
Hi All,
To follow up on this crashing issue, there aren’t any additional details needed at this time, so we will go ahead and close the thread for the time being, and if any other questions arise after the developers have reviewed the case, we will re-open the thread and reach out once more.
Thanks again for your report, and thank you in advance for your patience as the ticket progresses through the development queue for additional review.
