Late Night Listening

It’s 1130pm. The wife and kids are asleep and you head over to your system and fire up Roon. You can turn it up but not too much. What are you listening to:

Tomasz Stanko
Earl Klugh
Oystein Savag
Anything on the Windham Hill label

Another vote for Talk Talk, particularly Laughing Stock. This is tagged as one of my albums in ‘rotation’!

Me? I’m listening to headphones!

Seen Armin Live a few times and while in a club at 2am is technically late night listening, that’s not quite what I meant in my OP but who knows, maybe your family can sleep through a rave. Who am I to judge?

I am nearly finished digitalising my cd collection to flac. I decided to do it myself instead of a service so that i could relive each album as I poppoed it into the cd recorder. It is a diverse mix but here are my most impactful:

With another honorable mention of “StarMan,” David Bowie and “Tax Man,” Junior Parker.

Bob Dylan say “Bootleg series Vol 8”

Leonard Cohen say " You want it Darker"

Tom Waits say “Nighthawks at the Diner”

Daniel Lanois say " Here is What is"

An amazing album. When I go to a live performance, I always have to ask myself, “do I really want to go, or should I stay home and put this album on loop?”

Linda Thompson has done a number of folk albums in the last decade. I’m partial to “Won’t Be Long Now”, particularly “Like a Bluebird”.

Tuck Andress – Reckless Precision
Bill Evans – the Solo Sessions
