I fancy an extended jazz session today. Starting with Pharoah Sanders Live in Paris 75. I am extremely selective with PS. When he sticks with the plan he is fine. When he gets latter day Coltrane pretensions then I avoid.
Maybe some Charlie Lloyd after Sandy.
This live 75 set sees PS playing exquisitely. Danny Mixon balances beautifully on piano.

Well with investing in for both 2 channel and mult channel rips IMO
i went down the Ancient Infinity Orchestra route before i play the Charlie.
They are on the marvellous Gondwana records label. Probably the finest contemporary jazz label around.
I can really recommend this label and group for those who like the more spiritually meandering side of jazz
After a 9 hour timeout I got about 5 or 6 and of course I am out again for the next 2 hours.
I am almost ashamed to admit that I gave a couple out on other threads 
Penance will be the pain of watching my beloved Cardiff City FC play your dour hometown club in the championship today. I might sneak up to Cowbridge road and visit the last charity shop I am yet to raid while in the vicinity of course

As self-appointed Leader of the “Say No To Vinyl” campaign (soon to be outlawed by the British Government due to our militant attitude towards the manufacture, sale and storage of all vinyl recordings) I must register my disappointment.

Just finished discovery not it’s journey within from Charlie Lloyd. He’s really evolving and adapting his techniques and style to suit the era with his jew psychedelic sound.
I imagine how it was at the Filmore east for his scintillatingly psychedelic performance.

It’s a great album on vinyl and CD (less so on Cassette and I have all three ).
Please take photos to document your vinyl setup and post them in the vinyl bar thread as it was all around getting people (or more specifically me) back into vinyl.
It feels right that you are the next evolution of this thread
