Lets talk about what's Moving and Grooving you today. [2023-05]

Even better idea!
Mine went in for service and needs a bit of work like brake pads, ball joints on steering so be after holiday weekend here before I get it back.
Just have to make do with taking the SL500 out with the top down :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

And onto records now with a cup of tea.

Back from a wedding (it’s great wedding weather here in the UK) and listening to an artist that never disappoints.

My condolences Simon. Being strong for your wife/partner is one of the things that will help to ease the pain of a difficult situation for her and your family. People need that shoulder to lean on.

I have to say that listening to this brought a tear (or two) to my eye. Joni doesn’t sound like Joni, but she does sound like a 78 year old Joni. I cannot imagine the emotions she must feel when singing a song that was written when she was 26’ish. It sounds very poignant, but beautiful.

Just finished the the drive back from Bath where it was a beautiful day. Enjoyed a lovely long Lebanese lunch with my son and his girlfriend and went to visit a few record shop’s as is the rules.
Only really found two albums that I could not say no too though.

Company on the way home and this is a really nice hard Rock album that I enjoyed pretty much every moment of

Also this EP with some good cover’s on it

I can’t heart that I’m afraid :flushed:
So sorry to hear that but yes a small mercy is it was relatively quick so not too much drawn out suffering.
Still hard to deal with.
Condolences to you and yours for the sad loss.

Well I really enjoyed it in the car but I think I will try it again tomorrow to make sure it holds up (and I think it will). I think @RBO mentioned it on Friday but not sure if he had played it yet

In the garden enjoying some sunshine again now and having a little Halsey concert

Had a great morning here as visited a local garage sale I walked past with the dog.
I don’t normally stop but I spied a box of records.
$2 each…got two Ozzy and one Aerosmith album, seen better days for sure but hard to walk away and leave so I didn’t

Sometimes it’s about the collectibles and other times it is about value. I found a number of recent additions to my vinyl library that were 4 or 5 times what I paid so that felt good.

Almost picked up a couple of nice re-issue and remastered albums that I wanted but they were just crazy money so left them for someone with more money than me to buy.

The nice thing was I didn’t have them on vinyl just CD so double score.

They are having a very long deep clean as we speak.

We used to enjoy Bath a lot even though it was always busy but I guess where isn’t nowadays

I would really like to find The Ultimate Sin by Ozzy at a fair price but whoo boy, it’s crazy town on that one!

Any ‘Holy Grails’ in the community?

Perhaps I should start a new thread?
