Late wake up for me after a late night listening to music and already OOH
We are going to T’Lunnun show. As LoL is my wife’s favourite album of all time seemed a good present .
The Riddle and Songs from the Big Chair were the first CD purchases I made in March '85. The going rate for a CD back then was £14.00, double the cost of vinyl. Not much choice in the early days, either.
Very nice compilation I got for Christmas in shiny format. I think I have every album represented, but this cherry picks the best songs and puts them together. Like I could do with a playlist. In like ten minutes. If I had thought about it and weren’t so lazy. Anyway, recommend if your taste leans such.
Thats my task tomorrow, honestly all the bloody effort put into it should remain on display for 6 months imho
Psych out here. Just Finished In search of the lost Chord. One of the great finest uk psych albums of the era and the only MB album I like
Now its the remarkable Ravi Shankars Improvisations. Transcendental music at its best and highly influential. Listen to this and you will hear many 60s classic albums using the sequences and themes Ravi used much earlier
Theres a very good psychedelic sitar compilation called Electric Psychedelic Sitar Headswirlers.
Where next? Maybe Country Joe with his electric music for mind and body or Tomorrows brilliant eponymous album.
I went down a slightly different route and its The Mamas & The Papas, Farewell To The First Golden Era. Man oh man what an album this is.
A snapshot of the era and moment if there ever was one.
Another highly influential album
Its a great album and best in mono.
Its also available on original mono vinyl for $2 . including postage.
Thats such a bargain. You can get very good quality vinyl for around $5.
Original vinyl can be so cheap. Sound quality is as good as its gets usually.
Its more expensive in the UK.
Sounds stunning too.
Finishing todays session with a really nice album from Mushroom. Analog Hi-Fi Surprise is one of my favourite mushroom albums.
A very underrated band that remain largely unknown.
I love their lengthy improvisations.
They were afraid their band name would lead to a massive attack on the record shops?
I wish I had as much time as you to spend time with Roon. So I guess I better make most of it by listening to my favorite music.
“YET”?
So there is hope for you yet my friend…
