Lets talk about what's Moving and Grooving you today! [2023-12]

The Orielles were okay. Nothing more, nothing less. Full house and a lively crowd, but, the set was really short, one hour + a two song encore. The guitarist was a bit pis**d, but he seemed to be having fun. Not a lot of crowd interaction from the rest of the band.

Bonus points for the support act. HONESTY. Really interesting mix of styles. Someone to watch out for methinks.

Broke my rule of no new music, when I downloaded this earlier.

I find so many bands don’t interact with the crowd these days. Exceptions this year being Stereolab and Lanterns on the Lake. The latter a lot of interaction and some good stories. Doesn’t need to be much but some engagement would be nice.

Was in Haworth yesterday morning and discovered two records shops on the high street. Very surprised! One shop had a second hand copy of Thick as a Brick, complete with full newspaper inlay. He was trying to sell it for £80 :astonished:
From the other shop, I managed to grab this in mint condition for £12. Result!

Lovely place Haworth.

I can’t make my mind up about this one. Traditional pieces mixed in with something quite different.

@MortimerBrewster62
Morty, any chance you can add the album art, or a Roon graphic, to your posts? It’s obviously not requisite, but it’s good to see the artwork for the specific album :+1:

Got to agree, and probably needs more listening time. Just as you think you have got your head around it, it moves off somewhere different.

Currently enjoying this

Not heard them in an age.

Nor me but I was enjoying Trees of Eternity and it always reminds me of AAE and often end up adding it into the queue. Nothing if not predictable
