I hope you have Roon Backups becuz your library has gone south.

If your Nucleus is connected to your network, you can find the IP address in your router software, but that’s probably not going to help.

If you do have Roon Backups, then delete the current library, bring Roon Core up and do a Restore.

See here for finding your Roon database.

I was able to find the IP and can access it via a browser (not via any of the iOS devices), but I think that you’re right about it not being much help. Bummer.

I’m not sure if I have a backup as I’m not real tech savvy. How would I find any existing backups, and more importantly, how do I set backups for the future so that I won’t have to learn this lesson again? Thank you.

Go to Settings=>Backups=>View. If you have Backups they’ll display there.

To add a Backup, go to Settings=>Backups=>View=>Add and fill in the details. I suggest backing up to more than one place and on different schedules and retentions. If you have a Dropbox account in Roon, you can also backup to there.

OTOH, if you haven’t made any or few edits to your Roon library, e.g. tags, playlists, etc., then just deleting the old library and restarting Roon will cause a new Roon library to be created. If you have only local files, then re-add the storage locations. If you are using Qobuz or Tidal, then re-add those services.

Good luck.

Before you do anything drastic, you may want to wait for @support 's advice, but I’ve seen this ‘issue with your library’ message many times on the forum and it’s always a bad sign that requires a fresh database (with or without a backup Restore).

You can reset your database right from the Web GUI.

Once you get back up and running , read the Knowledge Base on Backups

Something about stable doors and horses comes to mind :smiling_imp:

I had precisely this issue yesterday when setting up in a location where internet access was poor. It was a new router. I secured and confirmed access was OK then restarted Roon and it did recover fully.
