Log-in (invalid recaptcha) error on safari on iPad

I seem to be unable to log in on Safari on iPad after the latest forum update.

Any ideas?

Do you have any Content Blockers toggled on in your Safari settings?

  1. Open up the Safari browser.
  2. Open the ā€œSafariā€ menu in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click ā€œPreferencesā€ > ā€œWebsitesā€ > ā€œContent blockers.ā€
  4. Any content blocking services currently active will be listed here. If any are active, toggle them off and try to login again.
    Best I gotā€¦:sunglasses:

No luck Iā€™m afraid, toggling off content blockers.

Works fine on Firefox on iPad so indeed must be some sort of setting somewhere. It worked on my iphone strangely.

Nowt as queer as computers as they say in Yorkshire

I just checked my iPad with Safari and got the samešŸ˜”.
Works fine with DuckDuckGo.
If I find the cause I will post @Sloop_John_B .

All I did was make sure all content blockers off, restarted the iPad and now itā€™s good.
Iā€™m using it now to type this with Safari.

Back in on Safari :+1:

There is something going on, and you likely didnt fix it by resetting content blockers.
Your device recieves a ā€œticketā€, which you awarded it by using DuckDuckGo in the first place.
I have an ongoing ticket with this issue:

Surely restarting the iPad and ONLY then using Safari to log in would have negated the DuckDuckGo " login ticket"?

I donā€™t think itā€™s a ā€œcookieā€, it seems to be bound to the device, not the browser app, but i may be wrong here.

Anyways, issue disappeared for me on the iPad Pro but remains on the iPad Air?!?!

But itā€™s easy to try, if you scroll to the bottom of the account.roon.app page, and Log Out, you should be able to recreate the situation?

So I shut down the iPad ( mini4) , back on opened safari, still logged in.
Logged out, then logged back in with no error.
So not sure whatā€™s going on.

I just turned off the content browser in the Safari settings in the settings tab rather than directly in safari, closed Safari by swiping up, reopened and logged in fine so I donā€™t think the turning off and turning on the iPad is absolutely necessary.
