Logging into LAST.FM from ROON (does not work for me)

Hello all, wishing you a peaceful and healthy new year!

I am struggling to get LAST.FM going from within my ROON implementation…

  1. Listening to music in ROON does create entries in my LAST.FM database
  2. But I have the impression that entries are counted twice for some reason (see screenshot)
  3. I am not able to log into LAST.FM (see 2nd screenshot)

This is somehow puzzling. Can someone please explain on where and what to look and correct things…!?

this is really a strange thing: I had to learn that playing MP3-files from ROON does create correct entries countwise in LAST.FM - not so, if I do play FLAC-files. Those end up with a double entry separated by several minutes… :thinking:

That is interesting as I have no such issues when I’m listening via Roon but my files are AIFF

OK. My latest finding is that it is NOT related to the format of the music files, but to the fact, that it happens when I am playing files from my QOBUZ account via ROON…

Can other QOBUZ/ROON/Last.FM-users confirm this?

I have found the reason for the doubling of the LAST.FM entries while playing Qobuz tracks via ROON… I had logged into LAST.FM from Qobuz… after logging off, there are no more double entries :wink:

BUT: I am still not able to log into LAST.FM from my ROON profile - and despite this my playings are scrobbled to LAST.FM :thinking:

OK. Mission accomplished: I had to log out ROON in LAST.FM first!
Now all is fine… Thread closed :sunglasses:
