A recent Roon update caused changes to library settings to be applied. This has been going on for a couple weeks now. Does it ever stop? Progress doesn’t seem to be made - always shows about 5/8 done.
Running the core on an i7 Windows 2016 Essentials server
Applying library changes takes time. It depends on many factors: library size, spec of your machine, for how long Roon was actually running ( I saw that you’ve mentioned a two weeks period, but was Roon up 24/7 or a few hours per day while you were using it) ?
Server is up and running 24/7. Has i7 processor, and I have background audio analysis speed set to 3 cores (out of 8 possible). Library size is large (187,000 tracks).
