I’m on the lookout for a product that can have the following features.
Quality 2 channel amp, preferably with sub handling. Would consider preamp as well.
Roon endpoint, where Roon can control turning device on and volume control. Wired Ethernet.
ARC or eARC with CEC so that a TV remote can control volume and turning device on.
Decent room correction software a la Dirac.
Besides the Lyngdorf products (which I would consider) can anyone even give me a shortlist of devices to consider? Many come close, but have one feature missing.
My current amp is the Hegel H390. I love this amp, but I need it to integrate better with a TV for family usage.
As well as the NAD M33 I think the NAD M10 and the ARCAM SA30 have all the futures you are looking for. I’m not aware of anything else apart from the Lyngdorf range but if you find anything else please let us know as I’m interested in a similar feature set as well.
They have the features but don’t come near the Hegel for much else especially in power, drive and quality or cost .The Hegel is a monster in regards to this which is why I only mentioned to the M33 as its likely the one to come closest.
I have a Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 which does all that you require - recommended.
It has the Lyngdorf RoomPerfect room correction software which is easy to use and gives good results blending a subwoofer in very well.
I also have in another room (and have had other Anthems previously) an Anthem AVM 90 processor which does most of what you want. It is not Roon Ready yet.
I play Roon thru the Anthem via an HDMI connection from my Nucleus. It sounds wonderful.
Anthem gear being Roon Ready is supposed to be on the horizon for early next year so if you are not in a hurry then once the Anthem gear achieve Roon Ready status then any of the amp/processors would work for you. Which one depends how many subwoofers you want to integrate - up to 4 possible.
The Anthem Room Correction ( ARC) is really easy to use and gives excellent results.
Both brands supply the necessary quality microphone for their sound correction systems to use.
I hope you get set up soon and enjoy hearing what you select.
