· This is kind of a long shot, but... In the many years I've been using Roon I was never too diligent in backing up my DB and a few months ago I did a complete reinstall to fix a persistent issue. So I lost all my play count data. Is there any chance you guys have it stored somewhere? I don't think I had an unbroken streak since I first started but I'd love to have some (any history) prior to January.

No, unfortunately not. Play counts and listening history live only in the Roon database on your own machine. We hold no copy of them, so there is nothing on our side to give back.
That makes a scheduled backup the only thing standing between you and this happening again. If you do not have one running, it is worth ten minutes now: Setting Up a Backup In Roon. Roon can back up to more than one destination, and each run only stores what changed since the last one, so it is cheap to leave on.
