Strange because I have an NDX-2 (which uses the same streaming board) and the Roon Ready implementation is flawless, and that’s also the common opinion on the Naim forum. Increasing the resync delay may help but it shouldn’t be necessary.
Did you try a different input on the amp?
I’d open a ticket with Roon support. Click here → Support and then Get Help. (Edit: I see you already did)
Or contact Naim support via the form here:

I see you have started this support thread as well, only one thread is required per problem, more just confuses and dilutes the responses so I will merge and close the other one.
Can you be more specific around the relay sync settings you tested?
Does this happen with local tracks as well?
The loud “pop” often comes from DACs or streamers when the sample rate changes between tracks.
Tidal and Qobuz vary between 44.1, 48, 96, etc.
In Roon DSP settings, enable “Sample Rate Conversion” to force everything to a fixed rate (e.g., 192kHz or 96kHz) and test if pops disappear.
Alternatively, try setting it to “Max PCM rate (power of 2)” and see if the transitions are cleaner.
Test Resync Delay Again - In Roon Device Setup for the ND5 XS2, increase Resync Delay more aggressively (e.g., 500ms → 2000ms). Sometimes very short values don’t give the DAC enough time to mute before a sample rate switch.
I was at the house the biggest pop was at start of of first stream
Did do the adjustments and seemed to help not totally disappear
I set rate to full 345hz
Max rate 32
Delay 1500 ms
As some of the other people stated it is not likely for your DAC to have such a problem.
That being said we would like to narrow down the scope of the problem.
Would that be possible for you to try to play the music to it from a different player (For example directly from Tidal) and let us know whether this problem still happens ?
