Description of Issue

DAC used to be visible on Roon, and one day stopped being visible. I can still use the DAC with every other Mac OS app on the computer where I want to use this DAC.

Roon client experiencing the problem is a MacBook Pro m2. For months, the DAC was working perfectly, but one day after an update Roon stopped listing the DAC, but it is still visible on Mac OS and perfectly working there.

The DAC has always been connected through a cal digit TS4 without any problem.

Please check your Mac’s Firewall settings on your MacBook Pro. It sounds as though the RAATserver communication with your Roon Server is not getting through.

Thanks a lot Geoff!

This could definitely be the case as the core and the MacBook Pro are on two different VLAN. Is there a command that I could run in terminal to investigate better where the connection could be blocked, since it could very well be in router?

Is there anything else that need to be opened on the Mac firewall settings to work as expected? Can the problem be related that the core and the MBP are in two different networks? Can I test the connection using terminal commands?

@Thierry_Plesnar, Roon requires every Roon device (Server, Remote, Endpoint) to be on the same subnet. Roon is not designed to work across different subnets and VLANs. Others have made it work, but it is not a supported configuration.

I could move this to the Tinkering section if that would help where other users may have some ideas, or is it possible to move the Server and Remote computers to the same VLAN?
