I just purchased a Denafrips Pontus II 15th DAC with the hopes that I would enjoy feeding it via USB from my Lumin U2 Mini. It appears that while I can get Coax and AES output from the Lumin, the USB connection to the DAC does not seem to function. I have double checked all settings in the Lumin app to ensure it is set to USB output etc. yet no luck. Has anyone else gotten this to work? I’m running the latest Lumin firmware: 18.1.
Lumin’s manual states that only one USB audio connection can be used at a time. Is the other USB connected to another DAC?

But apart from this, I have no idea.
I had it working perfectly fine with my U2 mini so there should not be an issue in normal operation.
The screenshot shows my current settings (P1 Mini - Firmware 18.1). they should be the same for yours but you can check the online manual if you need to check.
Thank you all for the quick replies. I got it working, seems like a complete disconnect from power and reconnect was the trick - not just a power cycle.
hi Jonh, I’m currently on Eversolo A8 but wanted to go similar way as you which is Lumin U2 mini + Denafrips Ares 15 (or Pontus 15th if budget allows) or close all in one good box which will be Lumin P1 mini - so my question is if you listen/compare your U2mini/Pontus combo with P1 mini or Eversolo A8 alone ? as the first step I’m also considering keeping A8 as transport and adding Ares/Pontus as DAC. thanks a lot
The stand-alone streamer really made a difference. U2 Mini is the way to go I think.
That’s what I have now. Lumin u2 mini and denafrips ares 15th. Magic. I had the Eversolo a8 a week ago. Dose not stand stand as tall as the new setup. But that may also be my new preamp
The best preamp is no preamp. Have you tried the U2 Mini’s Leedh processing and taking your pre out?
If you have multiple sources then this isnt an option.
yes i tried Leedh but i would use that as last option if you have a bad preamp.
