One interesting fact: the device has two clocks: a femto and an OCXO. My guess is you may select the femto if the OCXO is not properly warmed up. Not clear in the review. What is clear is that the reviewer preferred the OCXO.
The latter fact perhaps hints at a possible change to an OCXO clock when a successor to the X1 is announced.
Also, the use of a quality external OCXO clock didn’t seem to make a difference on SQ. Good news for those wishing to save money!
